Dr. Chris Dusik

Physician Biography

Chris hails from Calgary, Alberta. He spent much of his youth skiing Fernie, BC, and mountain bike racing across Canada. Currently, he has a young family with two children, and continues to be very active in outdoors pursuits. Interests include alpine skiing and ski touring, mountain biking and fishing.

Professionally, Chris completed an undergraduate degree in Biomechanics in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Following undergrad, he studied Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, after which he worked as a Physiotherapist in the Calgary area for several years. Subsequently, Chris returned to studies in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary, and was granted his Doctor of Medicine in 2011. He went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency in Calgary in 2016. Following residency, Dr. Dusik attained two fellowships, including complex and revision hip & knee arthroplasty at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, as well as a combined arthroplasty-trauma fellowship in Dunedin, NZL at the University of Otago. Dr. Dusik has been a part of Kamloops Orthopaedics since 2018.
